Peter Krause - who had been seeking up to $1.5 million for the claim - said he injured his knee after slipping and falling through a piece of the `Basic Instinct` star`s fence when he was carrying out work on her estate in 2006,

Sharon was found guilty of negligence at the Los Angeles Superior Court on 13.07.11.

But Sharon`s lawyer Jerry Popovich was "disappointed" with the jury`s verdict, which it reached after deciding the actress` fence was not sturdy enough to prevent Peter`s fall.

Speaking outside court, he told reporters: "We`re disappointed they did not take her testimony at face value."

Peter sued Sharon in 2008 after claiming the injury had limited his employment opportunities.
