Don King Deprived Klichko from Champion Title A long-awaited combat between Vitaliy Klichko, acting WBC champion, and Khasim Rakhman, transient WBC champion, has been cancelled because of Klichko?s trauma.

Nevertheless, right after the combat has been canceled out officially, Rakhman?s promoter Don King has proclaimed him as a new WBC champion in super-heavy weight. The promoter is convinced, Mr. Klichko?s refusal to fight and defend his title is practically the same as to make this sport stage vacant.

"It is evident, Vitaliy does not want to meet Rakhman. Therefore I have been striving for organizing the last combat of Khasim Rakhman when he has been entitled transient WBC champion. And the moment when Mr. Klichko has cancelled the combat planned for November 12, which is an obligatory defense of his WBC title in super-heavy weight, has caused the title has become vacant. In his turn, according to WBC regulations, Mr. Rakhman has all the rights to obtain and possess this very title", declared Mr. King.

Actually Mr. King would like Rakhman and Klichko to solve all possible discords at the boxing ring which is to be carried out next week, yet he is convinced that nobody is able to make Vitaliy Klichko conduct his obligatory title defense. "It seems to me he would better give up his title and not meet Rakhman", added the promoter.

Khasim Rakhman does hope to become a new WBC champion and his talk with the president of WBC Jose Sulaiman has granted him a substantial feedback to claim it. The WBC president has assured him that if the combat is canceled one more time because of Klichko?s request, Rakhman will obtain the title.

King?s attorney Mr. Jadd Berstein has addressed the WBC CEO with a sarcastic letter where he has accused Vitaliy Klichko of simulations and asked to deprive him from the title on the grounds of his not fitting to the requirements set before WBC champions.
