The Hollywood heartthrob and the stunning actress - who shot the movie `The Place Beyond the Pines` together last year- spent 01.01.12 with Ryan`s mother Donna in New York where they were spotted taking in a movie together.

A source said: "They all hung out and went to the movies together. Ryan and Eva seemed very happy."

The couple - who were first spotted holding hands and canoodling during a trip to Disneyland, California in September flew to New York together from Los Angeles on 30.12.11 in order to spend New Year`s Eve together in the city.

A witness at LAX told People: "They kept kissing and hugging while they waited to board their flight. Eva looked gorgeous and kept smiling."

Another source who spotted them leaving Manhattan`s Bowery Hotel for a party on New Year`s Eve said: "While they waited for a cab outside the hotel, they kept kissing. They both looked very happy."

It is believed the romance began on the set of the film `The Place Beyond the Pines` as they got on so well together and continued to see each other once shooting had finished.

A source said: "Ryan and Eva have spent a lot of time together on set. They have great chemistry and seem to enjoy filming together. They seem to be good friends and always laugh together."
