The 31-year-old actress enjoys working with a male-dominated cast on `New Girl` has helped her appreciate "guy humour" more.

She said: "I love being on set with the guys. It`s wonderful - I really enjoy it. The actors are really fun to work with. We have a great time on set. And I`m on set so much of the time that it does actually feel like I`m living with those guys!"

"I`ve always been really girlie. I think it`s definitely made me understand guy humour a little bit more. I can tell a dirty joke!"

Zooey tries hard to be "normal" but has learned not to worry about her quirky image.

She told Britain`s OK! magazine: "You know, I always wanted to be normal! I try so hard to be normal, and then people still say I`m offbeat! Being an actor, you realise you have a persona and that you have to accept it. I`m just glad they have something nice to say, it`s flattering."
