The Kasabian frontman`s girlfriend Kim gave birth to their daughter Mimi Malone a few weeks ago, it has been revealed.

Tom`s bandmate Serge Pizzorno revealed the news after he finished playing in the charity Soccer Aid match in Manchester on 27.05.12.

He said: "I want to dedicate my goal to Tom, who`s just become a dad to a little girl."

And the `Fire` guitarist was able to give a unique gift to the singer - a message from one of his heroes, `Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy` star Will Ferrell, who played for the Rest of the World team against England.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Will Ferrell put his little one to bed then came out for a night out with all the lads. He toasted Serge`s goal and the latest member of the Kasabian family. Tom is a massive film fan so a message from Anchorman is up there with owning Elliott`s BMX from `ET`.

"Will was holding court at the bar all night. He had the boys in stitches."

Tom admitted shortly after Serge became a father to his son Ennio, now two, that he wanted to have children of his own.

He said at the time: "A baby would be a good focus for me. I`ll have to ask the missus, but yeah. A baby would be mega."
