The `Make Me Proud` star revealed that he aims to obtain his high school diploma instead of making and performing his music.

He told website NowToronto.com: "I`m actually spending my summer graduating high school. That`s my main focus after OVO Fest. I only have one credit left, and I`m really excited about that."

Drake is the headliner for the 3rd Annual OVO Fest in Toronto, Canada on Sunday, August 5, performing on stage with guest artists A$AP Rocky, 2 Chainz and The Weeknd.

Drake recently picked up five nominations for this year`s MTV Video Music Awards, including `Video of the Year` for his track `Take Care`.

The event will be held in Los Angeles on September 6.

His ex-girlfriend Rihanna and Drake lead the way with five nominations each.

They share a nomination in the Best Video category, for their collaboration `Take Care`, while Rihanna also has another nomination in the coveted section, for her `We Found Love` single.

Also nominated for Best Video are Katy Perry for `Wide Awake`, Gotye for `Somebody That I Used To Know` and M.I.A. for her song `Bad Girls`.
