The former Pussycat Dolls singer has been largely single for around three years, and though she has been on a few dates, she is only just ready to settle down.

She said: "I`ve dated here and there, but now I finally feel ready to be in a committed relationship. I won`t go out searching for it, though.

"I`m focusing on myself and my career, but I`m confident that when the time is right, the right guy will come in."

Ashley thinks British men have "sexy" accents and she is particularly keen to find someone with a sense of humour to match hers.

She added in an interview with Britain`s Hello! magazine: "I love the British accent. It`s so sexy.
"I don`t mind what industry my next boyfriend is involved in - love knows no boundaries. But he`d need to be confident, not cocky - there is a difference.

"I`m a bit of a goofball - I enjoyed joking around and being silly - so a man who can make me laugh is a serious contender. I`m attracted to men who have a zest for life and what they do."
