Regional department of Russian Academy of Sciences will open in Rostov. During meeting of RAN presidium the work of Southern scientific center was noted the following way.

Today regional specialists persuaded RAN presidium that there is a good base for regional department opening: 6 large laboratories, almost 300 workers and departments in all large cities of Southern Federal region. Special attention is paid to ecology, chemistry and social-economic investigations are conducted here.

Rostov scientists admit that the main problem is lack of young specialists. The average age of scientific workers of Rostov oblast id 62 years. Specialists stake on students and aspirants of Don institutes of high education.
