State Duma in the second reading passed the bill, according to which from January,1 2006 Russians will get one time grant after the birth of a child and the amount of the benefit will come up to 8thousand rubles.

At present time welfare payment makes up 6thousand rubles.

By this law, in 2006 about 120mln rubles will be paid from the federal budget , and the payments of the fund of social insurance will make up 2bln.160 mln rubles.

In addition, deputies decided to increase the monthly benefit concerning maternity leave from 500 rubles to 700 rubles
