Russia not to construct new fighter with India Russia is not going to sign a treaty about the construction of a pursuit plane of fifth generation with India when Indian prime minister visits Russian Federation,
RIA "Novosti" reported.
The Defense minister Sergey Ivanov said that Thursday. According to Ivanov it is too early to talk about that treaty. Indian PM will visit Russia on December.

Indian Defense minister Pranab Mukerji has propounded combined manufacture of fifth generation pursuit plane when he visited Russia on November. But he refused to take part in financing Russian project developed by the company "Sukhoi".

The minister suggested developing a project of "MiG". The project of "Sukhoi" is at the design stage but the first development type must be built in 2007. The project of "MiG" is just in the form of working drawings.

But Mukerji noticed India would like to take part in "all stages of creation of fifth generation pursuit plane - from drawing-up the conception and designing till combined production". "It mustn?t be just financial participation in combined production. And it mustn?t be a direct import from Russia", - said the minister.

There is going to be signed a bilateral agreement about the construction of transport war-plane during the visit of Indian prime minister to Russia.
