The head of Russian motor licensing and inspection department Viktor Kiryanov has suggested introducing a practice when driving schools account for their learners.

And not only moral but financial as well. According to general?s suggestion motor licensing and inspection department must publish information about bad driving schools which learners become participants of traffic accidents and break rules of the road most often. Those schools will be named not only in the press but will be imposed large-scale fines for license.

All these statements were made of course after Russian president Vladimir Putin spoke about traffic safety. It seems that Mr Kiryanov thinks driving schools first of all are guilty of corruption in receiving driving licenses. Though drivers to be know that they must pay persons in uniform but not their teacher. And inspectors exactly sell driving licenses.

But driving schools system needs serious modernization. And Viktor Kiryanov?s suggestion has some logic. Though to put bad driving schools on the "black-list" is not a panacea.
