Thousands of Tokyo citizens were evacuated on Sunday, November 27, after discovery of bomb since World War II times at apartment district of town.

City administration reported that bomb is dated to times of Tokyo bombardment by USA Navy during last days of war.

As a result of incident 4 thousands people in radius of 300 meters were evacuated for 1.5 hours. After these measures snipers neutralized bomb and drove it away.

Discovery of unexploded bombs since war times is not rare in Japan. Last Friday at port west from Tokyo 59 shells were found. It has not been established yet, how they got into the water.

Bomb, 36 cm in diameter and almost 120 cm long, was found in Katsushika district at the beginning of November by servicemen of Japan Self-Defence Forces.
