World Chess Cup officially opened today in Khanty-Mansiisk. 128 masters from more than 50 countries of the world will participate in tournament. Russia will be represented by 23 chess players.

By rules, more than half of participants will be eliminated at the first day of tournament. World Cup, organized by FIDE, will finish on December 17.
