On December, 1 Russian national telephone network has changed area dialing codes starting with "0" with an initial "4." for 19 regions of Russian Federation and Moscow.
Moscow`s codes "099" and "095" are converted to "499" and "495," respectively.
The old codes will remain in effect along with the new ones until January 31, 2006.
Codes change is a part of program focused on transition to the new dialing sequence meeting international standards.
