Vladimir Putin submitted candidature of Vladimir Torlopov for empowerment as Komi republic head to State Council of Komi Republic.

This was informed by press-service of Russian president.

Candidature of Torlopov was put forward for consideration by the head of country according to article 18 of federal law dated by October 6, 199 "About general principles of legislative and executive organs of Russian subjects` authorities organization".

Vladimir Torlopov is the current head of Komi Republic. He takes this position since January 2002.
