Funeral of the actor Georgy Zhzhenov will take place on Saturday, at 10 December in Novodevichie cemetery in Moscow.

Parting with Zhzhenov who died in the morning of Thursday will take place on Saturday, too, in the theatre of Mossovet where the actor has been working since 1968. The theatre direction said the ceremony begins at 11 o?clock.

The actor died at the age of 91 in National medical-surgical center of name of Pirogov, where he was hospitalized with diagnosis "femoral neck fracture". Zhzhenov was performed an operation but he could not recover from it.

Georgy Stepanovich Zhzhenov was born at 22 March, 1915 in Petrograd. He entered acrobatic department of Leningrad pop-circus secondary school by name of his elder brother Boris Zhzhenov. After his debut in the film "Mistake of hero" in 1935 he entered to movie actor department in Leningrad theatre college.

Zhzhenov was arrested in 1938 was accused of espionage. He was released in 1945, but in 1949 he was arrested again.

The actor work in Leningrad regional dramatic theatre and theatre of Lensovet in 1950s. He moved to Moscow and joined the theatre of Mossovet and worked there until his death. The actor acted in many popular films.
