From now on children of pensioners and invalids, fathers having many children, village teachers, workers of military departments and defense-industrial organizations, students of technical secondary schools and students-bachelors will serve in army.

This way, Ministry of Defense intends to fill shortage of personnel as term of service reduces from current 2 years to 1.

Medical respites from army will not be cancelled: servicemen said that there is no place for sick in army. Social and professional grounds for refuse from service were cut.

Amendments will pass parliament easily. Representatives of lower and upper chambers confirmed this fact. Speaker of Federation Council Sergey Mironov said that "bill about respites from army is the priority for State Duma and Council of Federation. As soon as it will be introduced to parliament, the bill will be operatively approved".

It is planned that first new draft according to new rules will take place in 2008.
