15 Moscow side streets becomes single-direction Fifteen streets in the Russian capital Eastern sector have become one-direction streets since December 17, reports Moscow traffic server, referring to the resolution signed by Moscow authorities in June 2004.
The following side streets are running in single direction:
Durasovsky, Kazarmenny, Obukha, Tessinsky, Serebryanichesky, Starosadsky, Maly Ivanovsky, Khokhlovsky, Podkopayevsky, Khitrovsky, 1st Kotelnichesky, 4th Kotelnichesky, 5th Kotelnichesky, Pevchesky and Petropavlovsky.
The Moscow Department for Transport and Communication press-cutting service explained, that "works on transferring streets in Moscow centre to single-direction running is going on by sectors".
So, 34 streets became single direction in autumn last year.
This work is going to be continued, mentioned the press-cutting service.
