Nigerian customs officials refuse letting Russian sailors on board of plane Nigerian customs officials didn`t let discharged Russian sailors on board of the plane, which must fly to Moscow. They motivated refusal with absence of necessary documents.

This was informed by mate Andrey Kravtsov, who called mother to Novorossiysk. By his words, sailors returned to Russian Embassy after 2-hour check of documents in airport. Diplomats try to solve current problem.

12 Russian sailors, accused of oilsmuggling, were released by Nigerian authorities on December 14. They were returned guilty and sentenced to 6 months of imprisonment. Sailors have spent 2 years in imprisonment before trial.

After official resolution about discharge the flight home was planned on evening of December 20. But now in absence of necessary documents, return of Russian sailors is delayed.
