The Verkhovna Rada on the proposal of the President appointed the head of the national Bank of Ukraine the investment banker Valery Gontareva.

Such decision at the meeting of Parliament on Thursday endorsed 349 parliamentarians with the necessary minimum of 226 votes.

Gontareva since December 2007, head of the Board of Directors of group of companies " Investment capital Ukraine " (ICU). She is the founder of this group, now a major player on the Ukrainian market of asset management and securities trading.
