Russian minister Ivanov warns Ukraine about frontier reconsideration Russian minister of defense Sergey Ivanov warned Kiev about possible consequences of Russian-Ukrainian agreements` on Black Sea Fleet revision.

"Agreements on Black Sea Fleet are composite, indissoluble part of a large Russian-Ukrainian treaty of 1997. The second part of that treaty has a paragraph about recognition of frontier`s inviolability. Therefore, revision of any paragraph doubts the validity of all agreements", - said the head of military department.

By words of Ivanov, determined in agreement of 1997 rent for basing of Russian Black Sea Fleet on Ukraine will remain unchanged till 2017. "Sum of the rent is $98 millions per year. Moreover, Russian side pays the communal and transport expenses, connected with Fleet maintenance, and provides 60% of Sevastopol budget", - reminded the minister.

From their side, Ukrainian administration announced about intention to revise agreements on Fleet in order to increase rent for use of Sevastopol bases by Russians. At the same time, agreements on Black Sea Fleet were accepted together with treaty about friendship and co-operation, where Russia admitted the Ukrainian frontiers of 1954 and not of 1654, i.e. with Crimea as a part of the republic. Semi-island was given to Ukraine in February 1954 in the view of 300 Ukrainian-Russian reunion`s anniversary.
