Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has put his signature to a document prohibiting entry into the Russian Federation of natives of Tajikistan in their passport.

The entry into the Russian Federation and exit from it for Tajiks will be executed by a foreign official, diplomatic passports, the seafarer's passport and certificate of return home.

"The Russian government was entrusted to negotiate with the governments of the countries - participants of the CIS countries (except countries in the Customs Union and the Common economic space) on ensuring no later than 2015 mode of entry of people of these countries to the Russian Federation and departure from Russian Federation of foreign passports", - is told in the news on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers.

The resolution "will allow the entry to the Russian Federation and departure from the Russian Federation gentlemen of the Republic of Tajikistan exclusively on foreign, official passports, diplomatic passports, the seafarer's passport and certificate of return to the Republic of Tajikistan". Previously Tajiks could arrive in Russia on the passport of a citizen of the Republic of Tajikistan, children under 16 years old - birth certificate with indication adjustment to the citizenship of Tajikistan.

In early October 2013, a Protocol was signed, establishing the possibility of arranging a native of Tajikistan work permit for a maximum of 3 years. The Protocol considers the extension of the period of temporary stay of employees in the receiving state for the period of validity of the work permit without going beyond it. This privilege on a parity basis will be extended to citizens of Russia.
