On Sunday VI international festival of ice sculpture opens in Novosibirsk.

As press-center of city administration informed, 17 Russian and foreign teams of sculptors will participate in festival.

"Artists from Novosibirsk, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tomsk, Barnaul, Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk, Baikalsk, Yekaterinburg, Perm and also foreign teams from Moldova, Byelorussia, Finland, Romania, Germany, Bulgaria and united French-Italian team handed in applications to organization committee".

In previous years there were free topics for art and sculptors cut out of ice cubes everything they wished - from atom till surrealistic women. This festival organization committee defined the theme more precisely - New Year and Christmas.

"Sculptors will start work on Sunday, January 8, and jury of festival will award the winners on Thursday, January 12", - informed the source.
