On January 10 holiday prayer in honour of Kurban Bayram took place in the chief mosque of Yaroslavl. However, many believers couldn?t participate in the prayer, as they had to work, said the chief mosque imam Rustam Batarov.

"In Tatarstan both Christmas and Kurban Bayram are days off. So our coreligionist are in better conditions there. Here the Muslims have certain difficulties, many of them couldn?t come to the mosque later. However, they will come later, as the celebration lasts for three days, and everyone has the opportunity to feel the grace of this sacred holiday", told the chief mosque imam Rustam Batarov to the journalists.

60 young rams were delivered to the mosque for the oblation ceremony. After the prayer the were immolated near the mosque walls.
