Drastic temperature fall is expected in Middle Ural next week. According to forecasts, on Monday the temperature in Yekaterinburg is to be - 43C.

Meanwhile, Yekaterinburg transportation utilities are surprisingly optimistic about the severe frost forecasts. Public transport is declared to operate anyway. "Though, some troubles may appear with wires, they may be torn off. And tram rails may crack", the chief of traffic service Alexander Khabarov listed possible consequences. The Northern bus terminal officials reassured, that inter-city buses are to perform their duties, despite of low temperature.

However, the specialists found it difficult to answer what measures would be done in case of technical troubles on the way, when passengers would have to wait in cold for some indefinite time. "We didn`t think about it", they said.

Meanwhile severe frost has already caused problems in inter-city communication.
In Sverdlovsk region cities the preparation to the frost has started. The head of Nizhny Tagil Nikolay Didenko ordered to consider all possible variants of providing heat for people and complete preparations by Sunday, while weather allowed. The meeting of chief power engineering specialist of the largest city enterprises is scheduled for tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Ural meteorological service called the information about severe frost exaggerated.
"On our forecasts, next week the temperature in Yekaterinburg is expected to be about - 25-27C ", informed the press-secretary of Ural meteorological service Nikolai Firyukov.
