Last night the temperature fell down below - 40C. Record temperature level (-48C) was fixed in Sedelnikovsky district, - 47C was in Ust-Ishimsky and Znamensky districts, - 46C was in Tarsky district.

At the daytime the temperature doesn?t grows above - 35C. according to the Omsk meteorological office, similar frost was observed in Irtysh region a hundred years ago.

Regional authorities have made the decision to prolong school winter holidays.

According to weather forecasts, Arctic anticyclone is to master on Omsk region territory to the end of January.
