Lukashenko excludes possibility for Byelorussia to become part of Russian Federation Byelorussian President Alexander Lukashenko excludes possibility for Byelorussia to become a part of the Russian Federation.

"Our prospects are good, but we have put the limits on what we can do, and what is impossible for us. We all want to live in our own country, and there is a verge we cannot pass", said Lukashenko in Vitebsk.

"We cannot become a part of the Russian Federation. No matter what is happening in the world, Byelorussia keeps staying independent", said President Lukashenko, having added that Byelorussia didn?t want to make quarrel with Russia.

On his words, Byelorussia "may live as a single whole on principal of Union state with Russia"
"If we accept constitutional act, we will define there what kind of institution we are heading to", said Lukashenko.

He also noted, that Union state must move in the direction of integration in economics and issues of social and pensions provision.
