Russia still has got no explanations from Ukraine concerning the situation with a lighthouse in Yalta, informed the head of Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lavrov.

"We still has got no explanations from Ukraine concerning the lighthouse capture", Minister said on Tuesday at the press conference in Moscow.

He noted , that the lighthouse capture occurred in "one or two days after Russian and Ukrainian Presidents expressed mutual content with the negotiations, and Yushchenko reassured that the agreement on Black Sea fleet would be undeviatingly followed".

After the lighthouse had been captured, Russian party "appealed for official explanation to Ukrainian President`s administration", reminded Lavrov. However, according him, the response consisted in stating the fact that "Administration learnt about the lighthouse capture from newspapers". Ukrainian officials have promised to find out the situation and give an official response.

"To our surprise, we have witnessed Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs declaration, which stated, that all the lighthouses and hydro-navigation objects are retained by Russia illegally, and must be returned", went on Lavrov.

"It is hard to comprehend who is speaking from the name of Ukraine. We are waiting for the official explanations", he underlined.
