Delegates of State Duma decided not to shorten working day because of severe frost. Only delegate from LDPR party Aleksey Mitrophanov suggested holding of plenary session until 16:00.

Mitrophanov`s suggestion was supported by 45 delegates, 148 rejected it and 1 refrained. Therefore, suggestion of Mitrophanov didn`t find appropriate support among delegates.

"I suggest to work only during daylight hours, until 4:00 p.m., for economy of energy", - said Mitrophanov.

He also considers that one should refuse from excessive use of household electrical devices. For example, one can refrain from iron. "I didn`t iron trousers today, citizens can follow my example in times of emergency", - said Mitrophanov.

From his turn, vice-speaker of State Duma from LDPR political party Vladimir Zhirinovsky appealed to premier-minister Mikhail Fradkov with suggestion to economize electric energy.

"People can turn off refrigerators because products can be stored behind the window. One should not watch TV, turn off computer, men shouldn`t use electric razors. We use too much heating, especially in Moscow", - said Zhirinovsky.

He also suggested canceling of post 1 near Tomb of the Unknown Warrior during severe frost.

"We should cancel post 1 during cold weather. Why should soldiers freeze?".
