Head state sanitarian doctor Gennady Onichenko announced that it would be better for children to stay home during severe frost.

Onichenko gave recommendations on population behaviour during frost of -30. "The main recommendation is to stay in the open air as less as possible. Children need special attention - parents shouldn`t send them to school in such terrible frosts".

He also noted that "any temperature drops unfavorably influence people with cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases". "These people must stay at home", - emphasized Onichenko,

Moreover, in his opinion, all planned entertaining and sport events should be cancelled. "Possibilities of freezing on street and at home should be reduced to zero. If it is cold at home, parents should dress a child so he feels warm", - advised the doctor.

Moreover, he recommended "to increase amount of hot food intake and to cook food rich in calories".

Evaluating current situation in Russia in general and in Moscow, in particular, the head of Russian Consumer Inspection said: "There is no state of emergency today. And we hope there will not be".
