Transport communication with Kamchatka is cut off. City airport Elizovo is closed for arrivals. This was informed by air communicator of the airport.

All flights are postponed till 17:00 by local time. At present moment airport services clean runways. It is heavy snowing.

As a reminder, Kamchatka stays in power of cyclones for almost a week. Strong wind is registered on semi-island.

Every day 95 snow-ploughs operate on roads of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatski. Operative headquarters of cyclone circumstances` liquidation work 24 hours per day. This was informed by first vice-mayor Nikolai Pegin.

"Our goal is life support of the city. At first turn we clean highways and roads between housing estates, drives to kindergartens and schools".

In the view of foul weather, the studies on January 24 have been cancelled in all Petropavlovsk schools.
