Russian project of international biometric standard changing has been supported by 13 countries of the world.

According to Russian suggestion digital image of the person will include ordinary 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional photograph of the person.

In January of current year first version of draft amendment to international standard in biometrics was approved during session of The International Organization for Standardization. This document was developed by Russian specialists.

Representatives of countries-participants have chosen editorial group for work on final text of the standard. The group consists of editors from 3 countries: Russian Dmitry Povesma, German Martin Verner and American Artem Yukhin. Next meeting is appointed on July of 2006 in London, where final suggestions will be introduced.
