Banknote of 5000 rubles is being printed and will get into depository of Bank of Russia in first half of 2006.

This was informed by first vice-president of the Central Bank George Luntovsky. He specified that commercial banks will be provided with new banknotes as needed.

As Luntovsky has said one should not expect banknotes of 10000 rubles in nearest future. "We started to develop banknote of 5000 rubles 10 years ago, - he said. - Banknotes of higher denomination are not even in project and will not be demanded for several years".

The banker assured that denomination is not awaited. "As we declared about issue of 5000-ruble banknote several experts forecasted denomination of the national currency. But these 2 events have no connection", - said Luntovsky.
