Clear profit of Russian commercial banks in 2005 increased by 47.3% and amounted to 262.1 milliards rubles against 177.9 milliards rubles in 2004.

This was announced by first vice-president of Russian Central bank Andrei Kozlov. He noted that profit growth in 2005 was higher than in 2004, when this index was equal to 38.6%.
