USA is ready to prolong term of entry visa validity for Russians to 5 years on analogous conditions from Russian side. This was announced by assistant of USA State Secretary in Consul questions Mora Harti.

Also terms of interview expectation and passport preparation will be reduced. Moreover, the possibility of video interviews is discussed.

Mrs. Harti intends to discuss these and other visa questions with Russian colleague, director of Council department of Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Vyacheslav Pavlovsky during business trip to Moscow.

It should be mentioned that American senators suggested the government to increase amount of visas granted to foreign experts involved in hi-tech sphere (H1-B type) to 30 thousands. H1-B visas was limited to 65 thousands in 2004. The term of the visa is 6 years.
