Germany does not need NATO troops in Poland
The German government does not support the initiative on placement of military departments of NATO in the territories of Eastern European partners of the North Atlantic community. From the position of Germany, the rejection of permanent deployment of NATO troops in these countries " corresponds to the self-restrictions contained in the agreements between NATO and Russia. Instead Berlin stands for " development, if necessary preconditions for the likely rapid transfer " departments of NATO to the East." The Federal Government maintains reluctance on partnerships With Russia, " stressed the German Government, however, adds that because of the actions of the Russian Federation in connection With the crisis in Ukraine " preconditions for such cooperation are ". In the North Atlantic Alliance discussed the question of creation of a large military base on the square of one of the Eastern European countries, on one of versions of Poland. In favor of the presence of NATO troops in Eastern Europe are actively Poland and the Baltic States.
