Serbia began hearing the sale of NIS " Gazprom oil "
Serbia began hearing the sale of Naftna Industrija Srbija AD (NIS) of " Gazprom Neft " in 2009, said Minister of internal Affairs of Serbia, Nebojsa Stefanovich.
Stefanovich said that " formed a special investigation group to study all the facts and circumstances related to the privatization of NIS ", informs ITAR-TASS referring to Bloomberg. NIS owns a refinery in Serbia with 2 production sites in the cities of Pancevo and Novi sad with a total capacity of 7 million tons of oil per year, and production of natural gas vehicles in Lemire. Gazprom Neft has invested five hundred million euros in the modernization of the NIS in the last 3 years. Buying NIS allowed OAO Gazprom to observe 51% in local gas organization South Stream Serbia AG, responsible for the construction of the gas pipeline " South stream " at the site, which runs through Serbia. Before the end of the current year in Serbia will be constructed 30 km of the gas pipeline " South stream ".
