Russia works at new safe technologies in the sphere of atomic power engineering, at the reactors of the fourth generation, said the chief of Russian Industry and Energy Ministry Viktor Hristenko.

"We survived the phobia and began to introduce new atomic blocks. We do not see the promising appearance of power engineering, to the long prospect, without the sector of atomic power engineering" said the minister at the press conference in Brussels.

"In our strategy up to 2020 the portion of atomic power engineering, the portion of atomic generation will grow approximately from 16% today`s in the total volume of electro-generation to 21-23%" reported Hristenko.

"In this point of view we don`t see any threat for gas production" noticed the chief of Russian Industry and Energy Ministry.
