On Tuesday morning Trans-Caucasian thoroughfare will be blocked again. It is done in order to let the road services to remove snow heaped up the highway. At night the road is open to let the gathered traffic. The works on snow removing are stopped at that moment, not to impede traffic.

The head of the press-service of the Russian Emergency Ministry in North Osetia Vladimir Ivanov has not excluded that the works of snow removing could be completed on Tuesday and the traffic will be recovered completely.

During this winter, Trans-Caucasian thoroughfare has been blocked several times because of snow avalanching. In the middle of February the traffic was blocked because the thickness of snow blanket exceeded 130 cm. and unfavourable weather conditions made matters still worse. Only y the beginning of March the traffic through the thoroughfare was partially recovered.
