Interregional Olympiad on the Tatar language and literature will be held in Kazan. The schoolchildren of 9-11 grades, who took the first places on the republic and provincial stages of Olympiads on the Tatar language and literature, will participate in the Olympiad, reports the press-service of the Ministry of Education and Science of Tatarstan Republic.

Participation of more than 50 schoolchildren from 17 regions of Russia, including of the Perm province, is expected. Within the framework of Olympiad also takes place the competition of artistic word, dedicated to 120th anniversary of Tukai, national Tatar poet, and 100th anniversary of Dzhalil, national Tatar writer and poet.

The program of children?s stay in Kazan includes excursions around the city, visits to the theaters and museums.

Reviewing results and solemn closing of the Olympiad will take place on March 18.
