Problem of  Russian language in Crimea imposed on Ukraine The problem of the Russian language in the Crimea is being imposed on Ukraine. Ukrainian President Victor Yuschenko expressed such an opinion during the press conference on Tuesday.

"Some political forces are imposing on us this problem, just as the problem of NATO", he said. According to Yuschenko, the majority of the inhabitants of the Crimea prove to have no problems with the use of the Russian language, and therefore there is no need for conducting the referendum about the language status.

"There is no problem of the Russian language in the Crimea. Over 90 % of citizens there say, that they do not feel any pressure using the Russian language ", noted Ukrainian President.

Yushchenko expressed the opinion that the initiated by some oppositional movements referendum about the entrance of Ukraine into NATO and EEA(European Economic Area) is just pre-election speculations.

"All these are just an echoe of fight for the sovereignty. That is why the information about the CIA prisons appears today, we will soon be accused of the connections with Ben -Laden", added Yushchenko.
