The head of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko expressed the belief that a Union of European States will support Kiev on the issue of EU accession.

" The EU's doors open To us, I am convinced, the vote in respect of the open door in the European Union sounds louder. Events in Kiev and Brussels (ratification of the unity - editor) given the belief that in the near future we will get the prospect of EU membership, " said Poroshenko on Thursday at a press conference in Kyiv.

at the end of June, Ukraine finally signed the Association agreement with the EU, which includes the development of a free trade zone. The European Parliament and the Parliament has already ratified the document. For the entry into force of the agreement, it can be just yet ratified by the national parliaments of the member countries of the EU. According to the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine, this may take from one to three years.

on Thursday morning Poroshenko said that his presidential package of reforms " Strategy-2020 " will prepare Ukraine to apply for membership in the European Union after six years in 2020.
