Serbia reminded the UN that it has been denied the right to integrity
The head of Serbia Tomislav Nikolic said in the UN in the context of a speech on the Ukrainian problems that certain members of this organization refused his country's right to territorial integrity, supporting the independence of Kosovo.

" Serbia respects the territorial integrity of Ukraine as a member state of the UN. We support equitable utilization of international law. I wish to remind you once again that certain countries were denied the same right of Serbia, recognizing and supporting the independence of the territory of Serbia, namely Kosovo and Metohija, " said Nikolic, speaking before the UN General Assembly.

Albanian Kosovo authorities proclaimed supported by the US and leading EU States independence from Serbia in 2008. At the moment the time of the Kosovo sovereignty realized more than 100 member countries of the UN. Serbia considers Kosovo as part of its territory and informs that the Albanian government declared independence in circumvention of international law and in violation of the decision 1244 of the UN security Council, which establishes the territorial integrity of Serbia.

Speaking about the events in Ukraine, the Serbian leader has expressed " deep concern " and said that Serbia, which will chair the OSCE in 2015, will by all means help the resolution of a dispute.

" We will do everything in our power in order to help find a peaceful solution to this problem peacefully cross differences. Our brothers-Slavs deserve peace, quiet development, without a doubt, based on respect for universal principles that apply to all States and peoples and clearly defined in the UN Charter, " said Nikolic.
