The ships of the Russian Navy took a course to the North-East Atlantic. The purpose of this campaign, firstly, is providing naval presence of RF in important operational areas of the World ocean.

Adept of the Russian Navy said that the division of warships decided to change the location. Warships headed for the northeast Atlantic, where they will ensure the safety of offshore financial activities.

In the Armed forces of the Russian Federation reported that the vessels will be oriented in the Barents, Norwegian, North sea and the Baltic sea, to the shores of East Greenland and Iceland, the Azores Islands, the channel tunnel and other North-Eastern lands. "At the present time (November 20) the unit ships and support vessels, led by the great anti-submarine ship Severomorsk" came out of the main base of the Northern fleet of the town of Severomorsk in the Barents sea and took a course in the North-East Atlantic," he said, adept Navy RIA Novosti.

Besides the "Severomorsk", the unit includes a landing ship "Alexander Trakowski", rescue tug SB-406" and the tanker "Dubna". The main task of the next campaign - "ensuring the naval presence of the Russian Federation in the operational significant areas of the World ocean," explained adept Navy. Also, the ships will be responsible for the safety of Maritime navigation and other Maritime economic activities of the Russian Federation in the waters.

Previous long March "Severomorsk" lasted from December 2012 to June 2013. The ship passed over 30 thousand miles and successfully fulfilled the tasks of combating piracy in the Gulf of Aden and the horn of Africa.
