Bulgaria decided to insist on the construction of South stream Bulgaria will insist on the implementation of the project "South stream". This was announced by the Prime Minister of power Boyko Borisov, TASS informs.

"I continue to hold the position that South stream must pass through the countryside of Bulgaria, because it can be useful for power. In consequence of this the next day we sent to Brussels Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev and energy Minister Temenoujka Petkov, will insist on the continuation of the construction of South stream in compliance with European rules," said the head of the Bulgarian government.

Earlier, former Minister of energy of Bulgaria Roumen Ovcharov said that the state could lose up to $ 750 million per year in consequence of stopping the gas transportation project.

Last week, Prime Minister Viktor Orban has accused the European Union in the sabotage of the "South stream". "The EU toiled incessantly in order to undermine this project," said Orban. Hungarian politician compared the fight in his own powers, actively advocated for the implementation of South stream, and those who were against, with the confrontation between David and Goliath.

The construction of the gas pipeline "South stream" was temporarily stopped the Russian Federation of December 1, after the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin in Ankara. According to the head of the country, the project may not last in today's environment. Putin said that Russia wants to build a new pipeline system, aimed at other markets, including Turkey.

The project "South stream" price of 15.5 billion euros was designed for delivery in Europe 67 billion cubic meters of gas per year. The pipeline had to pass through the Black sea in the South and Central powers of Europe. It was expected that the gas will start in late 2015. The pipeline was planned to build on areas of Bulgaria, Serbia, Hungary, Austria, Italy and Slovenia. The desire to participate in the project stated inter alia Macedonia.
