The head of the Ministry of Finance of Germany's Wolfgang sch?uble does not consider possible reduction of sentences about Russia: in his vision, Moscow must first re-start the interaction with the West.

" every day I dream that the Russian Federation will return to engagement with the West. Until then We will stick to the necessity of using relatively Russia penalties, " said sch?uble in a statement released on Wednesday, an interview with the newspaper. The Minister stressed that the development of economic situation in Russia was causing him concern.

" of course, We are concerned about the development of the situation in Russia. We don't want confrontation with the use of military means. But this does not means that We agree with Russia's military means to achieve their interests. For this reason, the annexation of the Crimea and the continuous ceasefire violations in Ukraine, Russia could not remain without a response, " said the Minister, adding that the opportunity to prevent serious consequences of falling " lies in the hands of the capital of Russia.

Relations between Russia and the West deteriorated in connection with the situation in Ukraine. At the end of July, the EU and the US from point penalties against private individuals and organizations turned to measures against entire sectors of the Russian economy. In response, Russia has restricted the import of food items from countries that have introduced in relation to penalties: USA, EU, Canada, Australia and Norway.


Western countries since March has repeatedly imposed punishment on a number of Russian politicians, businessmen and organizations because of the position of Russia in Ukraine. The last case of the use of such practices began in December limits, when the head of the U.S. announced an economic blockade of the Crimea, and in the sanctions List included a number of famous figures from the Crimea and Eastern Ukraine.
