Shevchuk: anti-punishment beating on Transnistria
Economic penalties introduced with regard to Russia, had a negative impact on Transnistria, said the head of Transnistria Yevgeny Shevchuk.

" There are objective Economic difficulties brought by the global economic instability and the politics of punishment. Economic agents that export or have exported products to the Russian Federation, took appropriate losses on certain transactions, " said Shevchuk.

According to the head of Transnistria, a number of industrial plants have cut production volumes, some are on the verge of a full stop, others lost its market share to 50%. The situation will hit on taxes and employment of residents, added Shevchuk.

Transnistria, 60% of the population are Russians and Ukrainians sought to secede from Moldova even before the collapse of the USSR, fearing that the wave of nationalism Moldova joining Romania. In 1992, after the failed attempts of the authorities of Moldova force to solve the problem, Transnistria was in fact not controlled by the Chisinau area.
