Russia banned meat from Italy The Rosselkhoznadzor has put short-term restrictions on imports country of poultry meat in consequence of the outbreak of vysokopatogennogo of avian influenza in Italy. The ban comes into force on 30 December.

The news Agency reports that a number of restrictions are imposed on poultry meat from all areas of Italy and all kinds of poultry products that have not undergone heat treatment (over 70 degrees), feeds and feed additives for birds (except feed additives chemical and microbiological synthesis), and in addition second-hand equipment for keeping, slaughter and dressing of poultry.

In addition, it is prohibited to import to the territory of the Veneto region of Italy live poultry, hatching eggs, fluff and feather, poultry meat and all kinds of poultry products that have not undergone heat treatment.

Days.Ru wrote that in early November 2014, the Federal service for veterinary and phytosanitary surveillance of Russia (Rosselkhoznadzor) has banned meat from Montenegro, said the assistant Manager's office Alexei Alekseenko. The reason for the refusal production was re-export of smuggled products from the European Union.

Alekseenko said that the main premise of the limitations was the fact that Montenegro did illegal re-export of meat products from the EU. "The supply of meat products from Montenegro in recent months largely grew, and in such proportions, as the state could not produce," said the assistant Manager.
