The Ministers of foreign Affairs of the countries of the European Union have the opportunity to ask the European Commission to prepare on Thursday fresh restrictive measures against Russia, reports Reuters citing sources.

Before Tuesday, the leaders of the countries of the European Union instructed the Ministers of foreign Affairs to take measures for the introduction of new restrictive measures concerning Russia. On the first day of the week, the head of Latvia Andris b?rzi?? suggested that the European Union before the end of the week will expand sanctions list regarding individuals from Russia and Ukraine. On the same day, the head of Poland Bronislaw Komorowski has tried to convince the European Union to impose fresh limits on capital of Russia. On Thursday the head of MFA of the 28 member countries of the European Union will gather for an emergency meeting to discuss Ukraine: call to convene such a meeting was organized by presidency of the EU Latvia, due to the sharp escalation in the Donbass. While sources in the EU structures differed regarding whether during this meeting adopted decisions on the introduction of new penalties regarding Russia. At the same time the head of the United States Barack Obama said that Washington will look fresh ways of pressure on the Russian Federation.
