The PACE President will send a letter Lavrov position with Savchenko
The PACE President Anne Brasseur said that he would send a letter to the Minister of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergei Lavrov, in which there will be an appeal to the Russian authorities to either release the Ukrainian pilots Hope Savchenko, or to petition for removal from her immunity as a member of the parliamentary Assembly.

Brasseur said that the Russian authorities must do everything to immediately release Savchenko, so she could use immunity as a member of the Ukrainian delegation to PACE.

" And if they do not, they must apply with a petition to deprive her of this parliamentary immunity. In this regard, today I will send a letter to the Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Mr. Lavrov, because he is responsible for this area, because questions of immunity are often solved at the level of Minister, Ministry of foreign Affairs, " said Brasseur.

Savchenko placed under arrest in Russia from July 2014 on charges of belonging to the deprivation of life 2 correspondents RTR, died during combat operations in the Donbass. Later she was elected a member of the permanent delegation of the Rada in PACE. The very pilot denies all accusations, demanding the return to Ukraine.
